Chad J. Larsen, PRP, AIF

Chad has spent the past 19 years developing and implementing proven processes and strategies for clients to improve their retirement programs and he has a long-term track record of successful outcomes.

Chad is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and is recognized as a PLANSPONSOR Retirement Professional (PRP) by PLANSPONSOR magazine. Chad has worked with hundreds of employers helping them to implement prudent processes that have reduced their fiduciary liability, reduced their plan expenses, and that have significantly improved the participant outcomes of their plans.

Chad is a frequent speaker for employer groups and has given numerous retirement plan workshops to educate employers on the key elements of successful retirement plans. Chad has been recognized and quoted in PLANSPONSOR Magazine for his work with clients and was recently selected as the 2007 Retirement Plan Advisor of the year by PLANSPONSOR Magazine.

Chad graduated from Brigham Young University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance with minors in Accounting and Economics. Chad now leads NRP’s Intermountain Retirement Partners team and is President of Moreton Retirement Partners. Moreton Retirement Partners is affiliated with Moreton & Company, a full-service employee benefits and insurance firm. Chad and his team work with all types and sizes of retirement plans to provide valuable experience and expertise to plan sponsors. Chad has worked with retirement plan sponsors nationwide and is also a frequent and nationally recognized speaker and presenter to employer and industry groups. Chad’s financial background and technical expertise provide a valuable resource for clients in each of the for-profit, not-for-profit, and public sectors.

Chad is a Registered Investment Advisor and a Registered Representative with NRP Financial. Chad and his wife Robbi live in Parker, Colorado with their four children where he enjoys biking, hiking, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends.




M. Corey Whitehead

Senior Vice President, Moreton Retirement Partners/NRP Member Firm

Corey Whitehead is a Senior Vice President with Moreton Retirement Partners, a National Retirement Partners/NRP firm. Corey has been in the financial industry for nine years. Since 2001, Corey has specialized in defined contribution and defined benefit plans such as, 401(k), 403(b), 457, 401(a), as well as other qualified and non-qualified plans. He has conducted hundreds of employee workshops ranging in topics from newly eligible employees in employer sponsored plans to employees nearing retirement or already in retirement.

Corey has had a major role in helping clients in the following areas:

  • Design and implementation of employee communication programs
  • Fiduciary support and processes for plan trustees and committees
  • Customized educational programs for participants
  • Plan design and funding evaluation and analysis
  • Investment review and monitoring support and strategies

Corey is a registered representative with NRP Financial and holds a Colorado Life, Health, and Variable Life insurance license. Corey graduated from the University of Kansas in 1996 with a degree in Business and Finance. Corey and his wife Cory live in Parker with their son and daughter and enjoy cycling, golfing, hiking, camping, and most any activity in the great outdoors of Colorado. Corey has been in the Denver area for 26 years.




Kirk Welch

KirkRegional Vice President, Moreton Retirement Partners/NRP Member Firm

He manages the Salt Lake City branch.  Kirk has spent the last 11 years working with plan sponsors to help make their plans more successful.  Having worked with over 500 corporate retirement plans, Kirk has seen just about everything.  He loves the challenge of helping solve both plan level issues, as well as participant educational concerns.  During his career he has worked extensively with 401(k)’s, 403(b)’s, Defined Benefit Plans, ESOP’s, and Non-qualified Deferred Compensation arrangements.

Kirk has spent many years helping plan sponsors reduce fiduciary liability exposure and helping plan committees meet and exceed their ERISA fiduciary responsibilities.  Kirk understands that a successful plan requires much more than picking and choosing the “hot” fund or funds and then hoping for the best.  He is committed to helping drive positive outcomes with both plan fiduciaries as well as plan participants through a prudent and proactive process that has been refined over many years.

Kirk is bi-lingual (Spanish) and has a Bachelors Degree in Business Accounting.  He is a Certified Financial Planner ®, a Chartered Financial Consultant®, a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist®, and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®.  Given the current legislative environment, he believes it is imperative to be an ongoing student of the industry.

Kirk has lived in Utah for over 30 years and very much enjoys the lifestyle it affords.  Kirk, and his wife Heather, have six children and have lived in South Jordan for the past 6 years.  Kirk and Heather are avid runners and have completed multiple marathons and Ragnar Relay races.  Kirk also enjoys basketball, golf and soccer.




Ginny Redmon

Senior Account Executive, Moreton Retirement Partners/NRP Member Firm

Ginny Redmon worked with Wells Fargo Bank in Denver for 13 years as a Relationship Manager and Client Service Consultant in the Institutional Trust area, specializing in qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. Ginny started her career in the trust arena as an undergraduate student in Texas, spending her first fourteen years in the industry with Texas Commerce Bank, NationsBank and American Bank in Austin, Texas.

Ginny received both her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and master’s of business administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Ginny is active in the Western Pension and Benefits Conference in Denver.




Melinda Dransfield

Melinda Dransfield is the Client Services Manager for Moreton Retirement Partners, a National Retirement Partners/NRP firm. Melinda has owned several small businesses and adds valuable experience and knowledge to our team. Melinda enjoys working to provide exceptional service to our valuable customers.

Melinda graduated Summa Cum Laude from the business school at Florida State University. Melinda and her husband LaMar live in Aurora with their three kids. She enjoys boating, wakeboarding, running, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
