Kirk Welch
He manages the Salt Lake City branch. Kirk has spent the last 11 years working with plan sponsors to help make their plans more successful. Having worked with over 500 corporate retirement plans, Kirk has seen just about everything. He loves the challenge of helping solve both plan level issues, as well as participant educational concerns. During his career he has worked extensively with 401(k)’s, 403(b)’s, Defined Benefit Plans, ESOP’s, and Non-qualified Deferred Compensation arrangements. Kirk has spent many years helping plan sponsors reduce fiduciary liability exposure and helping plan committees meet and exceed their ERISA fiduciary responsibilities. Kirk understands that a successful plan requires much more than picking and choosing the “hot” fund or funds and then hoping for the best. He is committed to helping drive positive outcomes with both plan fiduciaries as well as plan participants through a prudent and proactive process that has been refined over many years. Kirk is bi-lingual (Spanish) and has a Bachelors Degree in Business Accounting. He is a Certified Financial Planner ®, a Chartered Financial Consultant®, a Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist®, and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®. Given the current legislative environment, he believes it is imperative to be an ongoing student of the industry. Kirk has lived in Utah for over 30 years and very much enjoys the lifestyle it affords. Kirk, and his wife Heather, have six children and have lived in South Jordan for the past 6 years. Kirk and Heather are avid runners and have completed multiple marathons and Ragnar Relay races. Kirk also enjoys basketball, golf and soccer. |
